Overview

Every swimmer brings a continuous stream of organic residue into the water, body oils, sweat, cosmetics, sunscreen residue. That load overwhelms conventional filtration and pushes oxidant demand upward, and the resulting reliance on higher chlorine concentrations increases disinfection byproduct formation and operating cost.

IBN-Pool is a physico-chemical solution that improves oxygen transfer and breaks down that organic load, reducing the burden your existing disinfection programme has to work against, without biocidal chemistry of its own.

How It Works

IBN-Pool is a nonionic surfactant base combined with the protein component of a purified yeast extract, a processed, non-living ingredient, not a living microorganism. Together they reduce surface tension in the water. This helps your circulation system convert existing oxygen into ultra-fine bubbles, and it breaks down body fats, sun cream oils, and other swimmer residue at the molecular level, not just spreading them through the water like a conventional surfactant. Less intact organic material means less demand on your chlorine or other sanitiser.

No new equipment, no dosing pump required, just your existing filtration system doing the work. Under high-frequency use or in warmer water, such as spas and hydrotherapy pools, twice-weekly dosing keeps pace with the higher organic load.

Works Alongside Your Existing Disinfection Programme

IBN-Pool addresses the organic-load side of pool water quality. It is not a disinfectant, does not replace legally required pool disinfection, and should be used alongside your existing chlorine or other sanitiser programme, not instead of it.
